Discover why the latest social media controversy about Jesus being a witch is more than just a viral sensation; it's a call to deepen our understanding of faith and scripture. As your host, I'm tackling these bold claims head-on, elucidating the stark contrasts between Biblical references to precious stones and the entirely separate practices of witchcraft that involve crystals. You'll be guided through the murky waters of misinterpretation and learn the importance of connecting personally with the divine, underpinning an authentic Christian life that reflects the teachings of Christ rather than getting entangled in baseless online disputes.

In the swirling vortex of misinformation that social media often presents, we stand to lose our moral compass if we're not careful. Pulling wisdom from Isaiah 5, I explore the modern-day blurring of good and evil and make a passionate plea for discernment through a return to scriptural truth. The vivid imagery of the new Jerusalem is more than a biblical metaphor; it serves as a beacon for clarity and purity in our comprehension. Join me in this episode for a fervent defense against the haze of deception and a reminder that the touch of Jesus might just be the balm for the disarray that seems ever-present in our digital age.

Speaker 1:

Faith and.

Speaker 2:

Failure's podcast. So I don't know if you are a person that is on TikTok. I have. Recently I've been on TikTok. I deleted it from my phone. I'd add it back. I deleted it from my phone. I told my wife. I said you know, the main reason I would delete it from my phone is that I am irritated. I don't know why it's a thing. I think it's stupid. I am irritated. Maybe it's my age. I am irritated. I am frustrated. I am annoyed by morons on TikTok. And if you do this, I apologize. I'm not trying to. I hate it. I don't know. It's a personal preference. Understand that. It's not Bible, it's Stephen.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I do not like watching someone dance around in front of me with their phone and mouth words to songs and do stupid dances. I think it's the dumbest thing that has been ever created. I think it's stupid. I think it's foolish. If you do that, do you boo, but I think it's retarded. Can I say that it's slow? Can I say that I don't know All the above? I don't like it. I think it's stupid. That being said, in case now you don't understand what my position is, if you do have TikTok, you can follow me. It's not F8 and Fellers, but it's Stephen Tillman, t-i-l-m-o-n and Stephen with the pH, because apparently I'm just ultimate weirdo. I don't spell anything like everybody else does. And no, you cannot call me Steve, because there's not a V in my name, and don't call me Steph either.

Speaker 2:

But there is a trend going on right now in TikTok where people are claiming they are stating they are putting their reputation on their TikTok sphere that Jesus was a witch. This is not made up. This is not like. I can't even wrap my head around how they even claim that this is real, like this is actually something, that is a thing. I'm not seeing how in their brain it works.

Speaker 2:

We're just going to go on with this because it is a I don't know. They're stupid. That's all I know to say. So stick with me because this gets weird. All right, so here we are on TikTok and make sure you guys see this very clearly Witches know the Bible too. So this is her claim. Okay, remember that this is what she is claiming, that she says witches know the Bible too. So we're going to see if she actually knows the Bible or if she just knows how to run her mouth, because a lot of people that say they know the Bible. They can quote a few scriptures that maybe they learned in Sunday school when they were five, but they have no context or biblical understanding. Let's see if she's got this figured out.

Speaker 1:

The Bible never said you can't use crystals. The Bible never said you can't use crystals. The Bible never said you can't use crystals.

Speaker 2:

Everybody always tries to reign in their point by repeating the same thing over again Stupid which you should not know the Bible better than Christians do.

Speaker 1:

If you are going to spread the word of God Now she's true listen to this thought. At least be educated in the word of God.

Speaker 2:

That's a fact, okay. So this is why it's important for you to critically think and do actually study the word of God and not wait for a pastor to Deliver it to you on a Sunday, which is a good place to get it, but you've got to have relationship with God yourself, so that when there is an argument or is see, I don't like to argue with people about Christianity. I don't. I live my life of Christ in front of them, and if they ask questions, that that's great, but if they talk about my God, I'm going to address it. Okay, so that's that's where I met. Now, if you are a Christian and you go and get crystals, listen to me.

Speaker 1:

Crystals are used in things of witchcraft, okay, understand that the crystals are mentioned in the Bible is talking about how God is going to build parts of heaven and new Jerusalem out of Crystals. The wall was made out of none of the crystals.

Speaker 2:

She's talking about other crystals. They don't even say crystals. Okay, so that's first Bible check. Right there it goes off.

Speaker 1:

Jasper, like glass, the city of pure gold, the foundations of the wall gold is not a crystal.

Speaker 2:

Let's see, jasper, I think, is mentioned, I don't know, but there's nothing that says crystals, so she's labeling things as crystals to justify and make her point valid, and it does not work.

Speaker 1:

Alls are made out of different layers of stone. Topaz, emerald, sardonyx the same thing y'all demonizing here on earth, you trying to run off to heaven to live in. I'm confused. What he demonized was the occultic. If you're using crystals with the knowledge of the occultic and the practices of the occultic, then you are outside of the word in the will of your God. But over here in the occultic, we also use your Bible and that is your blueprint.

Speaker 2:

But I never so just because this is her, this is her arguing point, just because someone uses the Bible in their demonic practices, that means that you are a part of demonic stuff and that it's a. It doesn't make sense. It doesn't even make sense logically. Like you, you can use whatever you want and it does not mean that's like this. See what this is right here. This is called a keyboard. Okay, it is a keyboard. Do you know that with your keyboard, you can search, conjure which things and make spells and and potions and stuff. So does that make my keyboard demonic because you're using yours that way? No, that's the same argument and principle that she's trying to use as an argument for Christians and the Bible. It doesn't add up.

Speaker 1:

See y'all demonizing that for all occasions I give Christians crystals and a little part that has revelations.

Speaker 2:

20 now here's what. And she's handing out a card that says the Bible verse, but then she's bashing Christians. Then again, this girl is split into in her theology and understanding of the Word of God. What a Christian is. That being said, if you are a Christian, like she said, she gives up crystals to Christians. If you are a Christian and you deal with crystals, you need to stop. You don't understand what you're doing. What you're allowing into your house. You don't understand.

Speaker 2:

I'm a have a media company and in my, in my adventures in people's homes, I see these and you could buy it at. Is it next home or good home or what is it like? A home store? It's got furniture you could, plants, things like that. There's all kinds of things that people put in their houses and they have no clue the context of what they are Allowing into their house and they I've looked it up their actual gods of, like Hindu Buddha, things like that. So you got to be careful in what you're allowing into your house, what you are allowing into your life, because you may be having some sort of spiritual conflict in your life and not even realize it's tethered to something that has demonic connotations. That being said, while you're here, please go and subscribe, like, share and comment on the YouTube's that would mean a lot to me below our links, anything. So if you shop on Amazon, any link that you click down below will open up a portal. Watch out witchcraft. Open up a window. That will be where you can shop on Amazon and they give me a little kickback for using that, that, no extra cost to you. As well, as, if you wanna give directly where it's like actually all of it goes to me, instead of a small percentage, you can use the PayPal link in any of the descriptions on wherever you are watching from. Thank you, I appreciate it, and let's go on to our scripture.

Speaker 2:

So this woman is trying to say that, this and that, and Christians and that. So now, this is how serious the word of God is in comparison to things that we allow to do every day. So now, have you ever heard of the word rebellion? Okay, look at the scripture with me. So, cassie, this is for you. Just kidding, I didn't know if you were gonna be on. Oh, the Lord works in mysterious ways. Come on somebody.

Speaker 2:

So first Samuel, chapter 15, verse 23, and it says rebellion. Okay, the reason I called out somebody. She's the one that's gonna be on them next Monday, given her story and her husband. As her dad would quote this to her, rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft. So what does that mean? In the context clues, witchcraft is sinful. What will not enter the kingdom of heaven? Sinful nature, sin will not enter, thank you. And stubbornness I gotta read this to my wife Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. Man, so because you have rejected the command of the Lord, he has rejected you as king. That's no prophet given the king the what for.

Speaker 2:

So think about and I tell my church this all the time Jesus was a spiritual one upper, like if you ever had that person where you say, man, I got a migraine today and you're like, oh yeah, well, I lost my leg in World War III and then you got somebody else who's like my anxiety is just off the chain today. Oh yeah, well, I'm depressed and almost shot my face yesterday. All these things are real and legit, but listen to me, people went up all the time. Jesus did that spiritually. He would say, oh, you think committing adultery is a sin? Well, I say, if you even look at a woman with lust, you've already committed adultery in your heart, spiritual one upper. And so here in 1 Samuel, chapter 15, it says rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft.

Speaker 2:

Rebellion against what? Well, the Bible tells us to follow the leading of our parents, to respect them and honor them, and in that way we respected honor God. Then he says that stubbornness is as bad as worshiping idols. So it's obvious here that God desires for us just from this little clip of a verse right here in chapter 15, verse 23, that he desires for us to work in unison together to not rebel against the leading of God, to not rebel against his scripture, to not rebel against spiritual leaders over us, and even to not rebel unless it is causing harm over those in charge of us in our nation, which is hard. The Bible tells us to pray for our enemies, to pray for those over us, that God is not deaf, mute or blind to the things going on around us, that he is aware. And if we're being honest, when we get frustrated we get very excited easily about like oh God, where are you? Like, we need this guy in office, we need this and that, but you're not understanding that the end is coming, and for the end to arrive. There must be in time content happening in time. People in place like the Pope that will not listen to the word of God anymore but is bearing the name of God as a label and not by definition. So just wanted to run that by rebellion and people got some crazy theories.

Speaker 2:

If you're using crystals in your life and you say you are a Christian, try to research and look up the origin. Don't take my word for it. Look it up. It is tied to witchcraft and demonic activity. Get that nonsense out of your life and watch God begin to move his spirit in ways you have never known.

Speaker 2:

Faith and Failure's Podcast. So I don't know if you've heard this trend going around, but on TikTok, follow me at Steven Tillman and I put out a different stuff for the podcast little shorts and things like that as well as putting it out on YouTube. So listen to this. There's this guy or this channel Called orchardism. Okay, this video blew my mind so much like I didn't even notice the thing. I actually a YouTube channel called wise disciple. I highly recommend you to watch them there.

Speaker 2:

He's biblically sound. He goes deep in depth. He's a very intelligent guy. He knows his stuff, but he started diving into. I think it's which tick tock is the hashtag, and he found these people that are claiming that that Jesus was a witch. I don't know about you, but that just blows my mind.

Speaker 2:

Like we talked about in Isaiah was it Isaiah 5? Earlier that says what sorrow for those. Let me get it on my screen so you can see this. What's awful those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark and bitter is sweet and Sweet is bear. This is exactly this scenario that this scripture is talking about. We are living in a world where anybody can get on social media and just say whatever they want to say Whatever they want to pull out of there. They can put it on there and there it is, and a lot of times it'll blow up and people will listen to it and say, well, that does make a whole lot of sense.

Speaker 2:

I guess maybe that is true, and never actually look or examine scripture and if it measures up to what the Word of God says. If you can not tell, I'm a little passionate about this nonsense, because what did I say? Her light was like the most precious stone. Let's put this on the screen. Cast his guess some good stuff going on. So Says about the new Jerusalem. Her light was like the most precious stone, like a jasper stone, as clear as crystal. As clear as crystal. Okay, not a crystal big difference anything about. Yeah, it doesn't say about a little crystal the girl. She just needs some, some Jesus, a touch of Jesus. A touch of Jesus makes everything right. Come on somebody. Faith and failures podcast.
